Certain things I have noticed about Gor

Only god ever mentioned is Odin. Not the christian or arabic gods for instance.

Women dont have periods.

No homosexual men ( not sure about females).
Edit: 'Blood Brothers of Gor' indicate that it exists in the slave vilages the red savages keep.

No mess ever mentioned after a man pulls out. Many men may use the same girl in succession and no mess ever mentioned.
Edit: Only mess hinted at is in 'Explorers of Gor' in which Tarl uses his forarm to wipe a girl's mouth after she pleasured him.

Smoking only mentioned twice. Otherwise no smoking on gor.

Certain castes have clothing unique to them so a man may be determined by his clothing.

Only earth animals on Gor are sharks and panthers.

Although horses don't exist on Gor, Torvald once drew pictures of them in a cave in Torvaldsland.

Bathrooms and/or their use/need are never mentioned.

Some 15 or so years seem to have passed between the events of 'Tarnsman of Gor' and 'Players of Gor'.

Although the stabilization serums allow people to live hundreds of years, the only slave girls you ever meet seem to be at or just barely out of their teens. This is despite the fact that 'Slave Girl of Gor' lets us know that slaves are also given the serums.

After watching the movie Troy, I am convinced that Tarl is based on Achiles or, at least, is Very much like him.

The PK's have forbidden any armor other then helmet and shield. But how difficult would it be for a leatherworker to make a set of leather armor that would go unnoticed? Throw some flashy cloth on the outside and just call it the latest fashion. I mean, com'on, I doubt the PK's pay attention to the different patterns clothing is made in. Maybe add some leather "padding" just inside a standard warrior tunic and there ya go!

Although Tarl mentions seeing orientals/asians on occasion, no land on gor is ever mentioned as a homeland for orientals. Other races, for instance arabs, mongols, red savages(amerindians), and blacks, have their own homelands. None for orientals. (note this author is up to 'Players of Gor' in reading the books from first to last. This entry will be edited according to what I read later)

Gor has the Golden Tarn as a coin. The U.S. Mint announced the creation of a $50 Gold coin with the image of the buffalo (from the  buffalo nickels of old). Could this be our Golden Bosk?

At the start of the Gor books the only mounts mentioned are Tarns and Tharlarians. John Norman seems to have realized that, after a couple of books, he needed a landmount fast as a horse. He had already described the tharlarians as being very slow moving. So he invented the kaillia. They quickly became the mount of choice as the books progressed.
